Se acerca la nueva edición de los premios The Game Awards 2020, y como viene siendo tradición, Geoff Keighley, encargado del evento, realizó una presentación en vivo para descubrir cuáles serán los títulos nominados como el Juego del Año (GOTY por sus siglas en inglés), así como los nominados al resto de las categorías.

TGA 2020 estará compuesto de un jurado mundial de más de 95 medios y medios de comunicación influyentes en la industria. Este año, Sony Interactive Entertainment es el editor más nominado con 22 nominaciones en total, siendo el segundo recuento más alto de nominaciones en la historia de The Game Awards, después de las 23 nominaciones de Nintendo en la edición de 2017.
