Todos sabemos que el 2020 fue un año demasiado complicado -por decir lo menos- para la industria del cine gracias al COVID-19, y de hecho, como anunciaron a mediados de ese año, la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas retraso la edición de este año a finales de abril.

En esta ocasión, la ceremonia de premiación se llevará a cabo este próximo 25 de abril en donde destaca Mank de David Fincher con 10 nominaciones, incluida Mejor Película. Sin mencionar la nominación de Anthony Hopkins como Mejor Actor por The Father, siendo la persona de mayor edad en ser nominado en esta categoría a sus 83 años.
